Harvard Hall

Location

1650 Harvard St NW, Washington, DC 20009

Harvard Hall is an existing seven-story, Type I residential building in Northwest Washington, DC, which was originally constructed in 1929. The project scope includes demolishing the current building back to its bare structure and reconstructing it to include 196 dwelling units and a new penthouse above the seventh floor. Additionally, during the rebuilding process, the elevators will be relocated within new shafts and a new egress stair will be added. New MEP systems, which will include a VRF mechanical system and central boilers for plumbing, will also be installed. Designed to LEED certification standards, this project also incorporates many green initiatives such as stormwater cisterns for use in irrigating its courtyard.
